Ocean Wise

Premier Catch is a proud partner with Ocean Wise, a Canadian-based non-profit organization that focuses on sustainable seafood production and ocean preservation. With the aim of fostering thriving and healthy oceans for future generations, it was established in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2005. The group seeks to teach and empower customers to make educated choices about the seafood they eat by educating them about the effects of overfishing and habitat damage. 

The purpose of Ocean Wise is to promote ocean conservation and sustainable seafood practices. The organization aims to educate consumers about the dangers of overfishing and habitat destruction and encourage them to make informed decisions about the seafood they consume. Ocean Wise works with companies like ours, seafood suppliers and restaurants to promote and serve sustainable seafood options, and supports research and educational initiatives aimed at improving the health of the world's oceans. The ultimate goal of Ocean Wise is to create a healthier and more sustainable ocean, which is essential for the well-being of marine wildlife, the environment, and future generations.

With over 800 partners (including us!) Ocean Wise is making a big impact by providing consumers with information on which seafood species are sustainable and which are in danger of overfishing. By making informed choices about the seafood we eat, we can help ensure the health of our oceans and the future of seafood for generations to come.
