Storage & Preparation

How to store frozen king crab legs: Our Red King Crab Legs should be kept frozen until you are ready to cook them. They can be stored frozen for up to 12 months, but for best flavor and texture, use within 6 months of purchase.

How to thaw frozen king crab legs: Our Wild King Crab Legs are fully cooked and then frozen. They are prepared for you to simply thaw and eat.

The safest way to thaw king crab legs is under refrigeration. We recommend gently rinsing the king crab under cold water and then placing them on a wire rack over a tray in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours, or overnight. This ensures thawing at safe temperatures.

Keep your red king crab refrigerated until you are ready to serve them. We recommend consuming within 2-3 days of thawing.

How to cook frozen king crab legs: We love red king crab legs served chilled or at room temperature, but if desired, you may warm them before serving or use them in recipes.

To warm your red king crab, we recommend you steam them for four minutes or bake at 400 degrees for 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to overheat them, as they can become tough.
