Description
Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon is a vibrant, red fish with a deep, rich flavor and firm flesh. Also known as Red Salmon, sockeye salmon is rich in antioxidants and great for heart health. Wild Alaska sockeye salmon has the highest protein and vitamin D content per serving of all five species of salmon.
Our sockeye salmon is sustainably caught in the waters of Southeast Alaska, near the Taku River, using sustainable fishing techniques for a low environmental impact. The fish is quickly processed and blast frozen to capture its natural ocean-fresh flavor for you to enjoy.
Wild-Caught Sockeye Salmon from Premier Catch is perfectly portioned into 6 ounce pieces, with the skin on and bones removed. Each sockeye salmon portion is packed individually and vacuum sealed.
Sockeye salmon is incredibly healthy and is great either baked or grilled. It is easy to cook and can be ready to eat in less than 20 minutes.

Storage & Preparation
How to store frozen sockeye salmon: Our wild Alaskan sockeye salmon should be kept frozen until you are ready to cook it. It can be stored frozen for up to 12 months, but for best flavor and texture, use within 6 months of purchase.
How to thaw frozen salmon: The safest way to thaw the portions of salmon is under refrigeration. We recommend removing the fish from the original packaging, placing it on a plate, and allowing it to thaw in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours, or overnight.
For faster thawing, you may place the sealed portions of sockeye in a bowl of very cold water for 30-45 minutes. Once thaw, remove the fish from the packaging, rinse gently with cool water, and pat dry.
Keep your salmon refrigerated until you are ready to prepare it. We recommend consuming it within 2-3 days of thawing.
