Simple Sockeye Salmon Crudo

This Sockeye Salmon Crudo is a stunning, no-cook appetizer that’s as elegant as it is simple. Featuring sushi-grade sockeye salmon, fresh cucumber, avocado, and a zesty citrus-soy dressing, this dish is light, refreshing, and perfect for entertaining or a healthy starter.

Ingredients

8 oz sushi-grade Wild Alaska Sockeye salmon, thinly sliced
- 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
- ½ avocado, diced
- 1 red chili or Fresno pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, cut into wedges (plus extra zest for garnish)
- Toasted sesame seeds and nori flakes (optional garnish)
- For the Dressing:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp honey or agave
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp lime juice
Directions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, ginger, and lime juice. Set aside.
- Arrange cucumber slices in a circle on a serving plate.
- Layer the salmon slices over the cucumber.
- Scatter avocado, chili slices, and green onion on top.
- Drizzle the citrus-soy dressing over the salmon and vegetables.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and nori flakes, if using.
- Garnish with lime wedges and serve immediately.
