Storage: Seafood ordered from Premier Catch should be kept frozen until you are ready to enjoy it. For best quality, we recommend consuming within 6 months of purchase.

Thawing: The safest way to thaw your spot prawns is under refrigeration. We recommend gently rinsing them under cold water and then placing them in a colander over a plate or tray in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours, or overnight. This ensures thawing at safe temperatures.

Keep refrigerated until serving or preparing. We recommend consuming within 1 day of defrosting.

Wild Alaska Spot Prawns are frozen at sea within hours of harvest to preserve their sweet flavor and delicate texture. To protect their quality, they are frozen together rather than individually loose. This means they arrive as a single frozen block, which is completely normal for spot prawns that have never been thawed or refrozen on land.

To use a portion now and save the rest, briefly run the frozen block under cold running water just until the outer prawns loosen. Do not soak or use warm water. Gently separate what you need and return the remaining frozen portion to the freezer, making sure well sealed to prevent freezer burn.

Allow the prawns you plan to cook to finish thawing in the refrigerator. Rinse briefly under cold water if needed and pat dry before preparing.

At Premier Catch, we work with fishermen and trusted seafood partners in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest who harvest wild seafood from carefully managed fisheries. Our seafood is caught using responsible fishing methods such as trolling, longlining and pots, depending on the species and fishery.

After harvest, our seafood is processed in the United States and frozen to preserve its natural flavor, texture and quality. Freezing seafood close to the time of harvest helps maintain the quality it has at the source until it reaches your kitchen.

Unlike much of the seafood sold in the U.S., our seafood is never sent overseas for processing. From harvest through processing and packaging, it stays within trusted U.S. supply chains.

Our frozen seafood is carefully packaged to protect quality and arrive ready for your freezer.

When it comes to seafood, we believe wild is better. Premier Catch offers only wild-caught seafood sourced from U.S. fisheries, never farmed.

Wild seafood grows in its natural habitat and feeds on a native diet. The result is seafood with exceptional flavor, naturally occurring nutrients, and a direct connection to the waters and fishing communities it comes from.

By choosing Premier Catch wild seafood, you’re:

  • Supporting U.S. fishermen and coastal communities
  • Choosing seafood from responsibly managed fisheries
  • Enjoying premium, traceable wild seafood
  • Bringing the best of America’s waters to your table

Most Americans aren’t eating enough seafood. Experts recommend enjoying seafood at least twice a week as part of a healthy diet.

Seafood is a natural source of high-quality protein and important nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids. Fatty fish like salmon and sablefish are especially rich in omega-3s.

Premier Catch makes it easy to enjoy 2–3 servings of wild seafood each week with:

  • Wild-caught seafood from U.S. fisheries
  • Convenient, portioned and flash-frozen options
  • Premium fish and shellfish delivered directly to your door
