Description

Wild Alaskan King Salmon is a succulent, flavorful fish with a slightly sweet flavor and meaty, firm flesh. Also known as Chinook Salmon, this delicious fish is heart healthy and a great source of high-quality protein.

Our king salmon is sustainably caught near the Taku River in Southeast Alaska, using the hook and line fishing technique for a low environmental impact. The fish is quickly processed and blast frozen to capture its natural ocean-fresh flavor for you to enjoy.

Wild-caught king salmon from Premier Catch is perfectly portioned into 8 ounce pieces, with the skin on and bones removed. Each king salmon portion is packed individually and vacuum sealed.

Chinook salmon is incredibly versatile and easy to cook. This healthy fish holds up well under high heat cooking methods and can be ready to eat in less than 20 minutes.

Serving Size

One 8 ounce wild king salmon portion will feed 1 adult or 2 children. Each package contains 6 pieces of salmon.

Storage & Preparation

How to store frozen king salmon: Our wild Alaskan king salmon should be kept frozen until you are ready to cook it. It can be stored frozen for up to 12 months, but for best flavor and texture, use within 6 months of purchase.

How to thaw frozen salmon: The safest way to thaw wild king salmon is under refrigeration. We recommend removing the salmon from the original packaging, placing it on a plate, and allowing it to thaw in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours, or overnight.

For faster thawing, you may place the sealed portions of king salmon in a bowl of very cold water for 30-45 minutes. Once thaw, remove the fish from the packaging, rinse gently with cool water, and pat dry.

Keep your salmon refrigerated until you are ready to prepare it. We recommend consuming it within 2-3 days of thawing.
