Wild Alaska Spot Prawns are the largest species of Alaskan shrimp and prawns and are known for their sweet flavor and many delicious preparation methods. Wild Alaska Spot Prawns are easy to "spot" because of the four white spots that appear on their 1st and 5th abdominal sections. Ours are pot-caught in Southeast Alaska and are processed in Juneau, AK. The spot prawn fishery is only open for a short time during the month of October, so stock up before they run out!

    • Serving size: One 1.5 lb trays of spot prawns is approx 3 servings.

Loved them! We made the linguine recipe from the Premier Catch website with our prawns and it was a hit!

      Wow yum!

Glad I found this source! It was very flavorful. When I was shelling the prawns, the tail meat came out with the body - a sign of freshness, I think, as the store bought ones usually leave the meat behind stuck in the shell of the tail. Only suggestion I would make is to freeze them in smaller quantities for double servings, like the fish portions; same suggestion for the scallops. But it's all good! Will definitely get some more!!
